Don't believe the ratings, this place is horrible!
My father nearly died from sepsis, being at his IV site. Worse than that, methicillin-resistant staph aureus developed in his lungs. All of this happened during a four day hospitalization for gastro-intestinal bleeding. The level of incompetence from the nurses and physicians is appalling.

Bad luck ending up in this hospital
We had the bad luck of having a relative end up in the ER of this hospital, luckily he has now been transferred to a better hospital. Such a bad experience starting with communication issues, to not giving the medications that needed to be given to our relative, the list goes on since it all seems to run in slow motion in that hospital. What really rubbed me the wrong way was having a case manager from the hospital talk to me in such a negative and condescending way when I approached her to let her know that my relative didn’t live in Illinois and that his family was making arrangements for him to be transported to another hospital out of state. She barely let me talk and said there was no way that would happen. Well guess what? two days after my relative was transported to a hospital in FL where he is getting the proper care that he needs in this moment
