I sincerely hope others do not have a similar experience
I wish I could give zero stars. We drove a long distance to this hospital because of its reputation, but our experience in the emergency department was extremely disappointing and concerning. We brought my son in for dizziness, headaches, and chest discomfort, expecting a thorough medical evaluation. Unfortunately, his symptoms were never fully addressed. We left without answers, without a clear diagnosis, and without confidence in the care provided. The lack of cleanliness was alarming. In the EKG area near check-in, my son was asked to lie on a blanket that was clearly not changed between patients. I personally observed multiple individuals use the same blanket. Another patient had to request a change, and the staff member admitted he had forgotten. This raised serious concerns about infection control. We were placed in a room and left waiting for hours with very little communication. An IV was inserted into my son’s arm, but nothing was ever connected to it. No fluids, medications, or treatment were given, and no one explained why it was necessary. It caused discomfort and had to be removed at his request. Another very concerning situation involved patient safety. When my son was uncomfortable, I attempted to adjust his hospital bed. Instead of assisting, a nurse instructed me, his mother, to reach behind the bed and adjust it myself because the bed was not plugged in. This involved heavy medical equipment that I had no training or knowledge to handle. It was unsafe and inappropriate to expect a family member to manage hospital machinery rather than providing proper assistance. The most concerning part of this experience was the lack of communication and transparency. The physician briefly told us my son was “healthy” and that his labs were “good,” but he did not review what tests were performed, did not explain the results, and did not provide documentation or discharge instructions. We still do not know what labs were run or what the findings were. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, no one ever came. Even the therapist who spoke with my son did not appear to listen to his concerns. Overall, the emergency department felt disorganized, unsanitary, and lacking in patient-centered care and communication. Patients and families deserve clear information, respect, and compassionate treatment. I sincerely hope improvements are made so that others do not have a similar experience.

Absolutely impossible to talk to the department that deals with authorizations
Once you get in touch with them, every person there gives different instructions, so once you jump through all the hoops, turns out there are more hoops, and the hoops you have just jumped through were the wrong ones. They wanted my PCP not affiliated with Cedars Sinai to fill out paperwork that they were supposed to fill out.

This is my honest review of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
I have been taking my mother to the CS hospital for more than two decades. This review is based on her last stay, December 15 – January 05, 2026. There is no doubt that CS is a good hospital; however, there are many serious problems to address. Almost everyone in this medical center has headphones on while they are working, listening, and watching something on their phones. I was asked many times why I am there 24/7 next to my mom, and I should trust the medical group and go home, live my life, and only visit her daily for a few minutes. But how could I trust people who are there, but whose minds are not? For example, my mom required breathing treatments several times a day. Do you know how many times I noticed serious mistakes after the person finished giving my mom breathing treatment? Once they forgave you for putting her back on oxygen. Another time, the person left the oxygen on 6, but it's supposed to be on 2 liters. These are just some examples of unconsciousness in this medical center. In closing, SC medical group must adopt more stringent policies and guidelines for its employees, but I am sure even they manage to check their phones instead of paying attention to their surroundings.

Their financial department is absolute crap
THE ABSOLUTE WORST HOSPITAL IN THE COUNTRY! No one helps, no one can give you any direct response. The absolute worst customer service. I will never take my family members to this hospital again!

"A lower standard of care is provided to Black patients"
“In its letter to Cedars-Sinai, the federal office said that it examined records of 38 patients who had suffered postpartum hemorrhaging. In 14 of those cases, the treatment concerned investigators as "potentially deviating from protocols" partly because of race, the letter said. In one instance when a Black woman suffered postpartum hemorrhaging, "management of her bleeding appeared severely delayed" and out of step with Cedars-Sinai guidelines, the letter said. In contrast, a white woman with similar signs of hemorrhage "appears to have received care in line with the guidelines." - Los Angeles Times (Federal review ‘raises concerns’ about care for Black pregnant patients at Cedars-Sinai, Nov. 20, 2024)

I DON’T recommend delivering at Cedars Sinai.
I had labor there. It was traumatizing experience. I wanted to stay vertical for birth, instead they put me on bed, attached to the monitors and were not coming in, even though I was calling to needing to pee. They didn’t turn me after administering epidural and it failed on one side. At 3am I had one minute contractions that were one minute spaced out. They didn’t come and check until 10:30am. My baby was born cone headed for sitting in a birthing canal for that long. I wanted epidural without narcotics, but sure enough when they administered it I was high. Thankfully I’m not coming back there for my second labor.

These people made $10k on my procedure and now an unexpected bill
I am absolutely shocked that after the billing department told me prior to the procedure what my patient responsibility would be, and then billed me for over $300 on the day of my procedure. Now I'm getting bills for an additional $250 that no one told me about or warned me of. If that patient responsibility amount was an estimate that could be exceeded by ALMOST DOUBLE, I should have been warned about that, but nowhere along the way did this office present my copay as anything but final. These people made $10k on my procedure and have no sense of how much of a financial hardship an unexpected bill for $250 can present — I would warn you away from this office if you are not rich.
