This "hospital", is more of a morgue, than a Healthcare center
I wish that I could get this place a ZERO. It is unsanitary, has inattentive staff, and no sense of urgency. My 14 year old daughter was brought here by ambulance, having an SVT episode. The nurse asked me if she wanted me to have labs done there, or to have my daughter transferred by ambulance, I chose the later. We waited in this dirty, disgusting, hell hole for almost FIVE hours, nothing was done to help my daughter, no updates, not even a blanket was offered for 4 hours!! The main bathroom reeked of urine and there was urine all over the floor as well as on and under a mat under the toilet. The walls and cabinets were covered in dust. The room we were in was shared. The first patient had a 7 inch aneurysm in his aorta, he laid there moaning and groaning, in pain the entire time. It took life flight about 45 minutes to come for, what was deemed "emergency surgery". We know this, as there was no privacy and we could hear everything. The second patient beside us, was a double amputee, he came in with uncontrolled bleeding. After accessing his bleeding and stopping it, they left and didn't check on him again for at least 30 minutes. Both of these patients were alone. It's frightening that a teen girl would share a room with two adult men to begin with. After waiting on an ambulance for almost 5 hours, I asked for our daughter to be unhooked, so I could drive her myself, an hour away, to Children's Hospital. I was accosted by a shorter, African American doctor, who was very hostile that I had asked to leave and who assured me that the ambulance was coming, which I had already been told two other times. In short, I wouldn't bring my dog to the place. If I were experiencing an emergency, I would keep driving. This place, these people, did absolutely nothing for us, except cause more distress, anxiety, and angst. Judging by the reviews, I am absolutely flabbergasted that the hospital would even send out a text asking for a review, I couldn't imagine that anyone would have anything positive to say

"No More" your hospital should be closed for inhumane treatment
I was sent to RMC outpatient for a procedure, it was the worst experience of my life.the staff on the second floor was the rudest and most un polite unprofessional people I never want to be treated by again. I had to find a new Doctor that didn't use your facility "if you want to call it that " And the check in was done by a bunch of unqualified and uneducated it took over a hour to check in

We will not be coming back unless we are dying and even then it is questionable

Every time my son has to go to RMC, there's always an issue
Nurses needs help turning patients some times but when they ask for help, it's always, well I'm not suppose to be in here, so they don't wanna assist. So there's a technique in turning patients & it's not difficult if you know what you're doing but for some reason there's always 4 or 5 assistants that has to help turn my son but i never have an issue with St Vincent's East Most of the time it's one nurse & maybe a nurse's assistant, that's it & no complaints but for what it's worth, most of the doctors & nurses at RMC are good & my son loves Dr Billings but the assistants are lazy & don't wanna do anything. I see why UAB passed on coming there.Get off your high horse & do the job that you are paid to do or just leave...

My husband was treated terribly
Once they realized he was a VA patient he was given very little to help him, and it was like the ER staff washed their hands of him once they decided to transfer him to the VA. Thank GOD the VA treated him with the care and respect he deserved. He sure didn't receive it from RMC.

Bad treatment is bad medicine
I came injured and in so much pain could hardly breathe. But I was treated like a pariah. Told to go somewhere else. And last insult? Given my diagnosis and prognosis in the middle of the lobby in front of sign in desk and doors the whole lobby was able to hear. I was so embarrassed and humiliation. I haven't been to a doctor since.
