Used to, Baptist was the place to go. Now, I’ll never go back.
Arrived in the ER with abdominal and back pain and was placed in a room right away. Our nurse was very dismissive, telling me that everything had come back okay although I have evidence that suggests otherwise. They discharged me rather quickly (she was rushing us out because she wanted to go home) but, I got into the lobby and passed out, woke up, and puked everywhere. I didn’t know what happened. I was then readmitted and kept drugged for a few more hours before being sent home. My pain still persists, it hasn’t went away. I just manage to live with it.

This is absolutely awfu
My son who lives in Corbin has been a patient at your hospital several times..always get sufficient care as an admitted patient but in the ER he had the worst experience ever. Last Thurs he left your hospital about 1ish that day..had been been admitted for kidney failure..he left with the understanding if his back/kidney pains, vomiting, etc continued to return. About 9:30 pm he went to your ER via ambulance. They did lab work..his were the same as when he left earlier that day & he was told since there wasn't anything new he could not be admitted. They put him in the lobby & they told him they call the taxi for him at 1:30 am. He waited & waited for this taxi & when he would ask a out it he would be told 'soon' or 'I don't know'. He was in severe pain & could not sit..so he laid on the lobby floor until like 5 am..now the whole time the staff at the desk were laughing it up talking about stupid stuff like what's your favorite crayon color'. I spent all my working yrs in health-care & i know patient care. YOU all must do better than this!!

Patients deserve better
If you've ever seen the SNL skit "Appalachian ER," you’d expect it to be an exaggerated joke, but unfortunately, that’s not far off from the reality here. The difference is that the service here is worse, and it’s no laughing matter. For the outrageous cost of healthcare, the level of care and urgency should be significantly higher. Yet what I experienced was a complete lack of urgency, communication, and professionalism. It’s ironic and frankly unacceptable that in a place designed to handle emergencies, no one seems in a hurry to actually help. The healthcare industry continues to charge premium prices while delivering substandard service. This facility is a clear example of that broken system.

Charged over $600 for a simple Urine test
I would give 0 stars if I could. Customer service is horrible and rude. All charges are at a "hospital" rate, even if done in a doctors office......That number is useless I've left two messages with No call back.

We don't take your insurance
I live out of town about an hour and a half away and was referred here by my doctor to see a specialist. First off it took 3 months before they even could get me in and then when I finally get their they're like "oh we don't take your insurance " and they tried to claim they've been calling me which is an obvious lie and even if they did why would they not leave a message?
