Sadly the motto of HUMAN KINDNESS does not apply
Sadly the motto of Human Kindness does not apply to a few of the staff we have been in contact with due to a lengthy stay of a family member. The receptionists behind the desk with the giant letters spelling HUMAN KINDNESS were so rude and unprofessional. Not to mention a few nurses and a Dr, very condescending and clearly a lack of communication is going on. We have been waiting for a procedure to be done, supposedly on the schedule then met with not today maybe tomorrow, then tomorrow told oh now not on the schedule at all! This is someone's life, no one seems to care. When we ask to speak to anyone they hide behind closed doors and we are met with more rudeness. To the nurses and Drs that have been kind and have shown empathy, we thank you!

My mother had a stroke, and I had a bad experience with the doctors in Memorial is the worst hospital in Bakersfield.

Forced to wait outside for 8 hours for the ER
The absolute worst visit to an emergency room I've ever had. If negative stars were an option I'd choose it. Forced to wait outside for 8 hours for the ER. Took 5 hours just to get my wife's X-rays and blood work done. Another 3 to be told she's being discharged when no one went over results with us. She has an autoimmune disease and got covid which can kill her but nothing was done to help. I do NOT recommend this hospital.

I was having a hard time breathing, and I asked questions if I needed other kind of pills, they said no I went another week without breathing good until I went to my doctor

I came in to the hospital in an ambulance with unbearable pain coming from my liver area never felt nothing like it, I was told after waiting two hours no medication nothing that I needed to calm down ( I was crying from the pain in a corner) nobody every checked on me nothing a nurse had the audacity to tell me to calm down! I watch these intake people and nurses mistreat and talk down to people. I don’t understand why they choose a career in the medical field and have such a nasty attitude. Worst ER to go to please do yourself a favor and stay away.
