I had a very disappointing experience at CHI St. Vincent
I recently traveled from Washington to Arkansas while dealing with a spinal cord injury and had been prescribed Suboxone as part of my treatment plan. Unfortunately, I had been without my medication for two days and had been unable to obtain a refill anywhere else, so I was advised to go to the ER for help. When I arrived, even the nurse mentioned that this was something that is often handled quickly in emergency departments, especially when a patient is at risk of opioid withdrawal. However, when the doctor came into the room, he immediately said “we don’t do this” without asking any questions about my situation or evaluating whether I might be experiencing withdrawal symptoms. I tried to explain my medical history and why I was prescribed Suboxone — specifically that it is used to prevent opioid use and withdrawal — but the doctor did not seem interested in hearing anything we had to say. At one point he stated, “we have a lot of people on opioids here,” which felt dismissive and unrelated to the fact that Suboxone is used to help people stay off opioids. The interaction felt rushed and dismissive. The doctor left the room without offering any alternatives, assistance, or referrals that could help me manage my medication situation safely. Patients come to the ER when they have nowhere else to turn, especially when dealing with complex medical situations while traveling. I was hoping for compassion, a proper evaluation, or even guidance on how to handle the situation, but unfortunately none of that happened.

This place sucks don’t recommend it to anyone
That’s seriously in bad health or dying. You might as well just go to UAMS to Little Rock. It’ll save your life. Save your family. save a love one by avoiding this unnecessary emergency hospital.

It all about the money now
Being told by a hospital that you can not have a total knee done because you done have the money up front and they would not work with me at all I would never send my family to that hospital or me Hhat happen to the mercy part in that hospital

Another waste of my time and stress and anxiety!!!
I have never been treated with such disrespect ever! I was told to get to the ER ASAP. My blood count was really bad. But for the second time in a week I was sent home without any real explanation as to why?

I witnessed my elderly mother being treated poorly by a cocaine nurse
This hospital employs nurses that have been fired from other hospitals for drug use. I witnessed my elderly mother being treated poorly and looked up the nurse just to find he was fired for cocaine use at another local hospital. Horrifying!!!

I wouldn't take my animal here
A bunch of know-it-all crooks. My Aunt and Uncle both passed away at this place. Please take my advice and go elsewhere. There are wicked employees here - they target their own staff! They preach Jesus but are FAR from their own teachings. Hypocrits at best!

Hospital board should be disgusted for allowing what they did to me
The reviews from another site was removed so, I am making this one because everyone needs to know what this hospital and Dr. McCarley did to me. Last year, Dr. McCarley operated on me after him and his staff all tied me to an operating table and gave me a sedative that had absolutely no effect on me. During the operation I could feel every single thing the doctor did in my abdomen and was in excruciating pain and was screaming and crying during the whole procedure. One staff member administered more of the sedative that wasn't doing anything but they all continued with the procedure and blatantly ignored me while I was in complete agony and screamed at them to stop several times. I am absolutely disgusted that several people could watch another person practically being tortured and not even say anything. When I was taken back to my room my family was waiting for me and could immediately see how much pain I was in since my face was bright red and my eyes were swollen from crying. My mother asked the girl that was some kind of assistant in the surgery that brought me back to the room why they didn't give me anything for the pain. The girl lied right to her face and said I was properly medicated referring to the sedative I was given that clearly did not help me in any way. I filed a formal complaint with Dr. Loudermilk and was told nothing would be done about this because there was documentation from my procedure where the staff and doctor lied saying I was given more than enough medication and the procedure was completed without issue. I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy and the hospital charged me a couple thousand dollars for torturing me and giving me severe PTSD where I have continuing nightmares about that day. Now, if I ever have a life threatening medical issue again I will gladly allow it to kill me as opposed to going to another hospital and risking having something like this happen again. That staff should be disgusted for what they did to me and the hospital board should be disgusted for allowing it but they clearly only care about profit.
