Discharged her to be wandering the streets less than 11 hours later
My mother was having a mental health crisis. Hallucinating, extreme paranoia that someone was coking to get her, hadn’t slept for days, and despite me giving her her meds as prescribed for 5 days and her staying with me, I still couldn’t get her stabilized. She was going in the woods hiding, hiding in bushes late at night, etc. I took her to the ER to try and get help. She was medically cleared within a few hours and discharged despite her actively presenting at the hospital her hallucinations, talking to people that don’t exist, extreme paranoia that she was being tacked, etc. DISCHARGED AND MEDICALLY CLEARED! I got a call within 11 hours of her discharged from the police saying that she was at a Thortons she had walked to and was screaming about someone being after her and that her kids were all kidnapped. My 65 year old mother who has suffered from psychiatric issues for 37 years and this hospital just discharges her only for her to be wandering the streets less than 11 hours later for the exact things I told this hospital. Pathetic.

The ER at Medical Center was a Nightmare
Had a Heart Rate of 122 so my husband talked me in to going to ER at Medical Center what a Nightmare. This little young Dr. done nothing. Now heart rate 122 and b/p 156/106 . My husband ask about it and was told they don’t treat Blood Pressure. Why didn’t they call my heart Dr. I was told if I left with out the Dr. releaseing me I would have to pay for my visit. So I laid till shift change. About 8 am the nurse with a smart attitude came in the door like she owned the place wanting to know why I was still there. Said I had been released. I said why didn’t someone tell me. You haven’t done anything all night. Then the day Dr order a test I know he wasn’t suppose to do. There more to that. No records could be found when I got to ICU.

Poor service when it comes to the elderly
Was told safety and health matters but I am currently sitting in the waiting room, been here for 6 hours. I have COPD, CHF, and many other health problems. I am currently on my 3rd tank of oxygen. This medical staff doesn't take their patients seriously nor do they care. Oh and if you complain about it, they make you wait even longer.

This review is for administrators
The hospital has deceptive billing practices. I was surprised by a $9,000 bill for a pathology report from a surgery I had on 6/18/25. My insurance doesn’t cover out-of-state pathology, but my surgery was covered. Why does Medical Center use an out-of-state pathology lab? When I was informed I was covered for surgery, no one mentioned the lab work not being covered. Is this legal? Are they required to inform patients about uninsured lab work?

Horrible experience!! Do not recommend
The ER is not even worth the one star, the staff were rude and hateful. The waiting area was not packed which made it more confusing as to why it was a six and a half hour wait time!

How is this hospital still open?!
I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to give birth at this hospital! Most of the staff are lazy and incompetent. The rooms are FILTHY!! Shower floors are black, toilets are dirty, blankets are stained!! When I pushed my son out, they proceeded to put a hat on his bloody head and stated he couldn’t have a bath until 6 hours later. Not even a wipe down or nothing?! Unprofessional comments were made repeatedly. Instead of staff sitting around laughing and playing, they needed to be up cleaning the rooms! I hope I never have to go back to that dungeon. Worst hospital experience I’ve ever had in my life! I don’t know if it’s because I’m not from here and everyone is just used to it or maybe it’s because I gave birth on a Saturday but Med Center needs to do better! 0/10!! You’re better off having your baby at home in the bathtub!

Will definitely go somewhere else!
Doctor wanted husband to go to ER for heart evaluation due to high blood pressure with clammy skin. Told them deal upon our arrival. We sat and waited for over 3 hours and they had no clue when we would be seen. Since some people ahead of us had been waiting for 6 hours we finally just left. Hope we NEVER need this so called emergency room ever again!

They hire the most unscrupulous, lying, sketchy law firm to collect on their behalf
If you are like most Americans and will struggle to pay medical bills, do not come to this place. They hire the most unscrupulous, lying, sketchy law firm (Hodges & Adams) to collect on their behalf. There's no shame in struggling to pay bills and I did my best to work with them in good faith to pay my bills but I was appalled by the rudeness, coldness and unprofessional behavior of the staff at the law firm. It was so bad that they even made my wife cry on two occasions in dealings with them. They are so horrible they won't even let you go into their office without an "appointment" and if you do go you are only allowed through the back door to make payments and they will not give you a receipt or statement on the account.

Whoever is in charge of hospitals need to shut this ER down
We the patients are tired! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! All these rude & lazy employees need to be fired immediately! They need to shut this ER down immediately! Ambulance brought me here with a really terrible migraine and they left me in the lobby and I been sitting in the lobby for almost 6hours. I called my husband and he took me back home! I would rather die home than sitting in this cold lobby with a terrible migraine! These nurses couldn’t even give me one pain med while waiting for a doctor. I will never ever come to this hospital ever again!

If I could give this place a zero I would
From patient neglect to melpraticed to violations of HIPPI to just plain rudeness to patients and to patient's familles. The patient relation lady is a joke she sounds nice over the phone but never even calls you back.
