My entire experience here felt like a punishment rather than a treatment
Back in April of 2024, I had overdosed on my anti-depressants and was rushed here by my mom. We were scared I was going to have a seizure, and the people here are NOT kind or caring in the slightest. The woman who checked my standards (blood pressure, heart rate, etc.) kept getting rude and sharp with me when I was having a hard time telling her what the problem was. My heart rate was 163, and she showed zero signs of concern. When I was sent into the bathroom with a nurse to pee into the cup (cannot think of better phrasing), she stared at me the entire time and kept telling me to “hurry up”?? Took them a few hours to check my urine, and when they did, a female doctor very much stormed into where I was, came directly to my face, and yelled “Do you know what we’ve found? Do you know what was in that? Why is that there.” At this point, I was terrified. I was horrified and had been sobbing since I got there, and kept shaking my head. I had my hands strapped down due to the possibility of previously mentioned seizure, so I couldn’t cover my ears, but trust me I wanted to. She was hostile to my mother as well, doing the same shtick when she came in to check on me. My mom was teary eyed and the doctor just kept scolding us both, saying to her “Did you know she did this? Did you know about this before you brought her here?”

My mother died July 5th 2025 from their carelessness in cleanliness...
My mom went in for a minor stroke... She contracted MRSA , which lead to main heart valve failure, 2 months of antibiotics in the hospital followed by c diff and a release to hospice. DO NOT GO HERE

No rooms available and no updates on anything
Terrible service, came for may have been miscarriage around 4:50 and it’s going on 9. At this point my baby could be gone and I won’t know, because I’m sitting for over 4 hours.

If I could give it no stars I would. They are on their phones in Deltona and Daytona. They see should just wear shirts stating, we don't care about you. Maybe that's why they have been sued. Find better care.

Horrible; gave me steroids for low blood pressure; did work. I was being hit by my boyfriend; they don't report it; ended up in the domestic violence shelter. The techs are on their cell phones. The nurses ignore you. Just kill yourself; you won't get any help here.

Very miss managed Hospital
Unacceptable. 9 hours to get evaluated, Ct scan and meds. Unbelievable terrible experience. Halifax Hospital = Nurses with a excuse for everything and a attitude.

The doctor was rude and uncaring
I came to Halifax because of a 7mm kidney stone stuck, and following stents I was in severe pain even after taking medication. The doctor I saw was uninterested in anything I said. He was rude and uncaring. His answer was to give me more pain medicine and send me home. I was told by Halifax UF to come here because they have a urology department. The doctor refused to call the urologist that placed the stents at Halifax, and got an attitude because the person with me called the urologist that had seen me. I wouldn't bring my worst enemy to this hospital after the way I was treated.

This place is a living hell
Put me in the ground before I am ever brought to this poor excuse of a hospital ever again. Poor service. Poor management.

Have been twice. Walked out twice.
Terrible place. Even had a little kid with a head injury waiting. Would not recommend if you don't have at least 12 hours to waste. Have been twice. Walked out twice.
