One star for billing practices
In April I was sent for an at-home sleep study. My only in-person contact was a 15-minute session learning how to use the take-home device, which I returned in a drop-off bin. Denver Health billed this as a full hospital outpatient service: $1,138 in charges, of which I owe $848 after insurance, for a test I administered myself in my own bed. Comparable home sleep tests cost $100 to $300 total elsewhere. At no point did anyone tell me the cost or that a hospital facility fee would be attached to an at-home test. I disputed the charge and Denver Health denied the dispute and stood by the full $848 facility fee for a 15-minute visit. If Denver Health orders you a take-home test, get the price in writing before you accept the device.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR WORKMANS COMP
I was told by my employer to go to the ER after a accident at work and the ER department charged my personal insurance. I specifically stated in the ER that it was a workman's comp and I didn't consent to them charging my personal insurance. After I got the first bill I called the billing department and gave them all of the information for the workman's comp claim. Since then they sent me to collections for my copay. After the collections agency contacted me I reached out to Denver Health and was told that my workman's comp information was in my file and that Denver Health would take care of it on their end. They did not contact me again. I then received collections notice from another company AGAIN in early March 2026. Denver Health is so incompetent that they would rather send workman's comp claims to collections than process them appropriately. Denver Health used to be my preferred hospital, however, they've been scamming my health insurance and myself to get more money out of me.

Absolutely horrible!
Went in for my fiance to have a kidney stone blasted and a stint removed that should have been three months ago that caused her to have a infection then her heart rate to get up to 220. Go in,wait for 5 and a half hours only to be told they couldn't do itand they would have to reschedule. It doesn't seem like they could care less about her health. I'm at a loss for words by the lack of care and sympathy for her health. If I could rate them negative stars I would because they don't deserve the one star I HAD to give in order to make this rating.

They treated us like criminals for trying to visit a family member
The front desk and building staff, specially security in building C, are very disrespectful and rude. The information desk says they cannot give any information and told us to call whoever we are seeing to get the room information. They then yelled at us for going to the elevator after my nephew told me where they are. She then proceeded to ask us questions about who we were seeing and where we were going and very rudely told us we can’t go up. I asked why and she finally told us that there is a certain number of people allowed. That was helpful to know but we didn’t need to argue and get mistreated for five minutes before getting that information. The staff at Denver Health is just so unkind and unpleasant.

Would strongly recommend you go to wallgreens and fix it yourself
Worst emergency ever. You’d be better off driving to another state then waiting here. Everything takes priority over your situation. Takes for ever to get anything done cause all they do is procrastinate to rack up a huge bill.

Don’t let them lie to you like they did to me
Absolutely not transparent with what they are charging you after appointment ESPECIALLY if they told you at the appointment that it would be fully covered. Not at all the case.

Before you go to Denver Health , make sure you have Health insurance
Just for a EKG and cardiovascular testing my bill is at 10,000 already. Don’t even asked questions about configurations because they’re all trained to say “that’s something you have to contact billing after the visit.” If you’re needed emergency assistance, well of course make the visit. If you can go to emergency clinic instead I would definitely advise that first. This sucks.

I recently had a horrible experience with Denver Health
I had to complete an eye exam for my driver's license renewal. Since I had Elevate Health insurance my eye exam was scheduled here. I knew that their pricing could be just about anything based on recent experiences. I called their eye clinic to get an idea of what it would cost. They directed me to my insurance who directed me back to them who then directed me the billing who then transferred me back to the eye clinic. NO ONE could tell me how much my eye exam would actually cost. Why is this so difficult? Shouldn't the consumer know how much the visit is going to cost. Finally I gave up after calling multiple departments over the course of 2 HOURS. My eye exam itself was totally fine. Nothing special. Today I check my balance: with my insurance it cost $417!!! $417 for an eye exam?? You have to be kidding me right? Thanks for ripping me off.
