Not sure what the medical billing team is doing at Mercy/St. Vincent
Refused all care. Still charged for procedures that were never done.

Billed for procedures that were never done
Quoted for facial stitches, none were done. CT scan of the head, which also was not done. Xray on the spine? Also not done. All of these procedures were billed to my insurance for $12,000 This is medical billing fraud which this hospital system has been caught doing before. It was brought to their attention and I will give them 15 business days before this is escalated to my insurance company as billing fraud and notifying the attorney general + joint commission.

#2 This place needs shut down. SERIOUSLY CLOSE YOUR DOORS AND GO AWAY.
Absolutely the worst care ever!!!! Had a 3 week stay! 7 hours without anyone answering my call light, nurse spilled my colostomy bag all over me twice, threw the blankets and towels on the floor ran out of the room leaving the curtain and door open leaving me exposed for the whole world to see. One nurse kept kicking the chair I was sitting in, I asked her to help transfer me to the bed she never replied and continued to kick the chair until the next shift. I was being moved to another room in the hospital the nurse was given wrong instructions on where she needed to take me, she left me in the hallway for 30 minutes so she could actually find where she needed to take me, after she returned she spent the next 10 minutes in the bathroom crying because the other staff were messing with her, "there is a patient in pain in a wheelchair sitting in a hallway and it's time to play games REALLY". I had a blown IV every time I was given meds through the IV they would run down my arm, I told the nurses the line was blown and swelling I was told it was fine. I was on blood thinners and the IV completely blew while I was sleeping I woke up with blood all over myself and the bed. They finally believed it was blown. The absolute nightmare stay gave me severe anxiety and depression that I now have to take medication for.

#1 Perforated bowel, with severe infection and on my death bed caused by negligence
I was in for stent placement before being discharged I was complaining of severe stomach pain, the surgeon told the nurses to discharge me and left, my wife had to carry the baby and help me get out the door I was told they do not give rides in wheelchairs for patients being discharged. 4 days later I was back with a perforated bowel, with severe infection and on my death bed, Caused by a negligent surgeon who just wanted to push people through like an assembly line. Absolutely disgusting . I have pictures and videos of everything.

Multiple complaints are being filed
Incompetent staff. You're better off going to Promedica. When we complained, they did everything to push us out the door as quickly as possible without any real care. Patient transport would rather play on their cell phones than take care of patients. They dismissed concerns, blamed everyone else, and then just booted us out the door. Doctors never showed up and never followed up with orders.

Improper handling of blood samples
After the lab tech drawn my blood, she shook my blood samples vigorously instead of gently mixing samples. She then leaves my blood test tub sitting on shelf in room for almost a hour. Comes back later to collect tube for testing. This is improper handling of samples, once blood is drawn should be taken right away for test, not left in room then tested.
