Tried to send a paralyzed man home in a cab
My dad is in a wheelchair and is paralyzed on one side of his body and since his one side is paralyzed his other side is weak the hospital tried to send him home in a cab I told the hospital we cannot physical lift him up he needs to be taken back home by ems they said they would get ems to bring him home and put him back in his wheelchair but they let his friend pick him up this is very unprofessional a man picking him up that is older than he is to assist him in his home and not to mention i got the run around of him not being in the hospital at all and hes in the waiting room the whole time. not all but some of the nurses are very rude and dont care about your concerns and the social workers there are the same way I would definitely not recommend this hospital for help if you can make it to Virginia I would highly recommend you going there instead of wasting your time here

Very slow, you will be in there 5 + hours for something simple
Rooms are not comfy. Sent me home with my pressure still high. Some of the staff was nice that's the only good thing.

Hope other patients are not treated like this
I was sent to the ER for more extensive care. Per Sentara Urgent Care. BP read 171/119 and 379 per BS Was I pushed up with these numbers no. When asked hours later why I was not called I was told I’d be next. Yes to be out in the “alley”. My vitals again were never taken. I was given fluids. No vitals retake and I sent home. And to add I’m an employee.

Lack of empathy
Went to the ER found out life or death information and did not receive any type of intake or observation. I was just sent home with a prescription that was out of stock in the entire 7 county area. But what was the most significant thing that I experienced was on the way out after receiving this life or death news the nurse only said “Good luck.
