Fraudulent claims for financial gain are against the law
Billing department is all over the place, no one knows what’s going on yet they refuse to admit it and try to make you pay for their mistakes. They should know that. Go anywhere else unless you want your health care to come with an additional headache later.

Very disappointed with the care my mother received
I truly hope we never have to return to this hospital. The nurses were okay and seemed to do the bare minimum, but what really upset me was an interaction with a tech from the Foley team named Sam. She was extremely rude to my mother and even to her own coworker. My mother was not mentally capable of understanding what was happening, yet Sam spoke to her in a very cold and insensitive tone. To make matters worse, she was rushing her coworker during a very sensitive procedure, which made the entire situation feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. It’s upsetting to think that a hospital would allow staff to treat vulnerable patients this way.

Not helping the patient
All the Docs and nurses seem to care about is flirting with each other and doing what they want in ED, not helping the patient. I still was feeling like I might have a seizure when they called a lyft to a wrong destination and discharged me. Upon discharge I asked to be sent to charlotte transportation center. Upon arrival of where they sent me i was nowhere near there. Instead i was near the new bern lynx station. I would say they care for what patients say about as much as a liar would care to be honest

Patient Advocate openly rude and talked over top of any questions we had
Nursing staff extremely short handed. I won’t use the word I’d like too, but my nurses “accuracy “ was found to counter the facts. My surgeon just happened to walk in and discovered the inaccuracy and was not pleased. I went there because of surgical staff. If I could have I would have asked to be transferred immediately afterwards to another location.

If you have an emergency, you're better off risking the drive to another location
I was in Charlotte on vacation and got urgently sick. I came here for help and from the moment I walked into the ER I was mistreated. I've reached out to a patient advocate regarding this matter and just like other healthcare facilities, a patient advocate protects hospitals from litigation and do not actually advocate for the patient.

Was definitely giving me wayyyy much of meds
These people will keep you so sedated and bed bound they try to over medicate me and. then had the nerve to call code blue after they have given me so much medicine and the last nurse came in there and about to give me another shot of high potent medicine I had to pass out for her to not to give me that dose!!! I think the nurses the doctors everyone hospital ought to be wearing a body camera what they put in my chart was lies and then again I probably did say it all that because I was so drugged up I knew I had to get out of there!!!!

Overall a not great experience
Why is the ER like this??? Me and my family landed in Charlotte from Punta Cana. We couldn’t make it home bc we were so sick. Nausea, vomiting, severe watery diarrhea, fever, body aches, severe chills. I am a nurse and advocated for myself and for decent care. I told them what I wanted bc I knew what I needed. An IV, Fluids, labs, Nausea meds, Pain meds, stool studies. They threw in an abdominal CT too. Great. Felt semi decent after all that. They said I didn’t need stool studies. That it was just travelers diarrhea. My husband had to take our daughter over to the Peds side for the same symptoms. She was treated great over there. They did stool studies, IV fluids, meds. She felt better but not great. By the end I had two other kids who were exhausted as it was 3:45am. Mind you we got there at 9 pm. They said they would let us know the results of the stool studies for my daughter. Fabulous. Because whatever she has, my husband and I have too. And since my doc thought I didn’t need those stool studies imma need answers. My husband and I trade off and he goes to the adult side and I go to the Peds side after I was d/c. He is treated the exact opposite of me. He waits forever. He wasn’t even going to be offered an IV. No Nausea meds. No pain meds. Back to waiting room just in time for the 4 am crazies. He said doctor saw him a total of 3 minutes. He’s in excruciating pain from the stomach cramps and water is coming out of his butthole. Oftentimes he can’t hold it. We all can’t. We’re miserable. Peds doc calls my husband to let him know of stool results. CHOLERA, SALMONELLA, E COLI! EFFING CHOLERA!!!!! He went to his doctor and told him and asked for something. Doc didn’t seem that concerned. Gave him one dose of azithromycin and gave paper script. D/c from ER with cholera with no IV fluids, no meds, no care given. Oh and they didn’t do labs on him to check his electrolytes. They did me and I needed potassium bc of vomiting so much.

This was my first and last time having a procedure done at this hospital
It was a complete mess. The hospital was filthy and the surgical team wheeled me in the room and discovered they didn’t have materials they needed for the surgery so the doctor ended up leaving the surgery room to go find the materials.Once I was discharged the poor nurse called for a wheelchair for 40 minutes and it kept getting canceled leaving me waiting. The nurses were nice but the admin staff and the condition of the hospital made me never want to go there again.
