Unfortunately, I refereed my clients to this hospital and regret it deeply
BIPOC BEWARE !!!!! Please be very careful having your infant here. Medical gaslighting At its finest!!!!!! If you are considered Minority, foreigner and or have a language barrier Beware of the Labor and deliver unit. It was a very disturbing experience. Nurses, Residents & Doctors will lie patients. Majority will not respect nor follow Patient Bill of Rights. Very poor bedside manners. Residents will Lie to patients, to convince them into a c section in order to get their births. And or Money being the incentive. Resident/Student Renne along side MD Fisher will do Unwanted procedures, unwanted treatment, longer than required hospitalization, unnecessary visit by certain specialist The bigger problem is that they don’t respect a patient refusing to treatment. Patient relations was notified, when my client addressed her complaints and concerns to Milton, she stated numerous times her “ refusal to treatment is not being honored on the labor and delivery unit as well as continuing harassment from a group of particular nurses whom was not even part of her team kept entering her room to stare at her immensely. The staff kept entering her room surrounded her bed with a very threatening, intimidating appearance. Milton stated he would address the issue. Issue continued for HOURS. SMH! Beware of these particular individuals that represent Coney Island hospital. Travieso , Rios , Raquel , Rene , Doctor Fisher …. Whom loves her c- sections. Please people do your due diligence and research the people whom you are trusting with your life! Just because someone have a title doesn’t make them a professional or a person of good moral faith , , integrity & character There are wolves in sheep clothing even in the hospital settings.

I would recommend avoiding this hospital if possible
It’s crucial to choose a hospital wisely, and I’ve had a negative experience at this one. While there are a few dedicated nurses who genuinely care, the majority seem indifferent to patient well-being.

They gave us the wrong record!
Medical Records office is very unprofessional: they made us run around in circles trying to avoid their duty and finally when we were able to obtain a CD of the file that we needed - they gave us the wrong record!

CONEY ISLAND HOSPITAL FAILED MY MOM!!
My 80 year old Mom had become severely malnourished & dehydrated and needed to be hospitalized. Unfortunately I chose Coney Island Hospital for her care because: 1) I thought they would actually help improve her condition and 2) because it was close enough for family to visit her. My Mom had COPD and lost a significant amount of weight within a 2 week period so when she was admitted and I was told she would be put on liquid nutrition and hydrated I felt Doctor Vaynberg and I were on the same page. THESE THINGS NEVER HAPPENED! Once admitted they continued to send up large plates of food when she was unable to feed herself and she was not always given Saline IV's to hydrate her. On 2 days she was denied Food because of a scheduled Angiogram WHICH NEVER HAPPENED and of course on those days she was hungry because they were giving her an appetite inducer! Trying to get info on her care & what Meds she was being given was like pulling teeth! She had a mild stroke on October 31st, 2022 and was released by Dr. Monatos to a Rehab Nursing Facility when I was told she would remain in the hospital for a few days for observation. MY MOTHER WAS BEING WHEELED OUT ON A STRETCHER WHILE I WAS CHECKING IN TO SEE HER ON NOVEMBER 2ND, 2022!! When I called to speak with Social Worker Georgia I was told that the Dr was the one who made the decision to move her. But the Social Worker is the one who signed off on it & now that she's released no one will speak to me or return my calls. CONEY ISLAND HOSPITAL FAILED MY MOM!! They did just enough to sustain her but not improve her condition. They repeatedly reminded me of her age and current health but were slow in helping to improve her especially in the beginning when time was of the essence. MY MOM COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED, OLD OR NOT! We buried her last Wednesday November 16th, 2022 and As everyone is spending Thanksgiving with their families I'm spending my first WITHOUT my Mother! May those who were in charge of her care and didn't help one day experience what it feels like to be treated like you're expendable! God Bless!

Rude and unprofessional
PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE. I ended up getting COVID from the hospital stay (which I have never gotten before during this whole pandemic) because the hospital was so dirty. BEWARE OF THE RUDE/UNHELPFUL STAFF AND UNPROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT AT THIS HOSPITAL.
