I would not recommend Medical City Dallas for having a baby
I delivered my baby here and had such high hopes for the experience. While the delivery was great and the L&D nurses were amazing, it went downhill fast. I was kept in L& D overnight and the night nurse did not explain the pump to me, did not bring any diapers or wipes to change my babies first diaper, and didn't even want to check my babies glucose overnight. My husband and I sat there and heard the 2 nurses (L&D and nursery) arguing over who would care for our girl; as in neither wanted to and was trying to make the other do it. I should have called for a patient advocate right then. Unfortunately I was too exhausted from laboring. I also had the night nurse the first night of my induction try to push me for an epidural before I was ready and not offer the IV pain med that another nurse finally brought up; she even tried to discourage it when I was weeping in pain in the middle of the night after 3 doses of cytotec. The day nurse when we finally got to PP floor flat out refused me appropriate pain management and said I could only have either Tylenol or motrin and tried to gaslight me when I confronted her about that. I requested the stronger pain medication that my doctor had already prescribed for when ai went home and the nurse brought me a motrin anyway without telling me. Basically 75% of my post partum care was really terrible. I couldn't even reach a patient advocate when I had the same nurse the second day and was absolutely panicked about it.

This place was absolutely horrible
Mean staff, careless working, pedestrian night leader started problems and was just utterly rude.

I had a very poor experience at Medical City Dallas
I was left in a freezing room with severe appendix pain, and the nurse showed no empathy at all. She did not make any effort to get me a blanket from the warmer, even though I was clearly uncomfortable. The ER was not crowded, yet I sat for over 4 hours in pain without anyone checking on me. When I explained that I had not eaten and pain medication would make me sick and nauseous, the nurse kept trying to be smart by saying, “Well, I offered you pain meds.” Instead of listening and showing care, she was dismissive and lacked compassion. I eventually had to check myself out because I was freezing cold, tired, hungry, and nobody said anything or tried to help me. Patients deserve kindness, respect, and basic comfort, especially in moments of severe pain. Unfortunately, I left feeling ignored and mistreated during one of my worst health moments.

This is the worst hospital I’ve ever been to in my life
They are so unorganized. Call the same names multiple times even when someone is already in the back being helped. They refused to give me water or tell me where I could purchase water. This is by far the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. Take that extra time and drive somewhere that’ll actually help you and don’t go here.

I watched many people leave cause this shit
I wouldnt even give 1 star but it makes me. Sat in ER for 4 hours in burning pain and gave me nothing for pain. Looked at my burn twice. Told them yes i burnt myself with boiling water and got an allergic reaction to the bandages. $2500 for what. A prescription for otc oitment and nothing for the allergy part just gave me more gauze and tape. That i told you was my main issue. I get an infection i suing the hospital for not doing there job. And watched one nurse and security be mean and rude to 2 patients cause they didnt want then there. If your short staffed then put a sign in the window. Dont make people wait 4-6 hours in a waiting room in pain.

Terrible place
Terrible place to give birth, if yall considering please consider a different location. Nurse will block visit, without letting us know we have guest. And will voice their opinion on why, when no one asked them to.

Overall bad experience
Staff provides limited information as to next steps for your care. Lack of communication. Majority of it is thru email verse one on one conversation or phone call. Staff does not seem to like their jobs. No sense of urgency.
