They were nice, nice enough to send me to collections
Payed at front for an x-ray, there was a hidden charge that never went through on their end and now a dept collector is calling me

This facility has to tighten up
1. The waiting area is full of homeless people looking to rest. Which limits the amount of support you can have with you in real, URGENT LIFE OR DEATH SITUATIONS. I shouldn’t have to wait to get a room to FINALLY have 1 guest with me. Baylor has enough funds to build a million homeless shelters in downtown, if that’s truly a concern! 2. Due to the population mostly being homeless… that’s kind of how they treat you. Which is extremely concerning— I felt like I spent most of my time trying to convince them that my symptoms are NOT from drugs or alcohol. 3. The staff and nurses are FULLY aware of this problem because they told me I was on the “fast list” — which I truly was. But WHY is there even a fast list at the EMERGENCY ROOM. EVERYTHING SHOULD BE FAST AND AN EMERGENCY!!

No compassion
I’m paralyzed and they removed me off of the stretcher and made me sit in a regular wheelchair in the waiting area.

The staff is so lazy
So lazy that they don't come in for so many hours that it's making people suffer.

NOT HAPPY!!!!
Radiologist did not follow my doctor's order, they also compared scans from 1 year ago to this visit instead of more recent findings and are not available to speak with my doctor to review and correct the mistakes.

Horrible follow up and discharge planning
Very long admission with a new cancer diagnosis. Many doctors provided care but is seemed that one of them communicated with each other. Sent home with no home health for over 2 weeks, and ran out of ostomy supplies because the doctor wants Medicare approved.

Don't come to this ER
Been in the ER since 3 pm. Wife is getting admitted and it is now 11 pm. Wife had an accident in her bed, waiting now over an hour for the bed to be changed. She has been laying in wet urine.

I am very displeased with my stay here
The doctors do not seem to communicate with nurses. nurses seem like they dont know updates or changes as quickly as they should to prioritize patients safety and health. I had many questions during my stay that could not be answered. the nurse Yolanda was great and caring and I am happy i had her. But most of the time when I pressed the call button I was answered with annoyed nurses after like 5 minutes. I almost peed myself various times. most of the time I was treated as a to do list instead of a person. if you dont like your job, leave it! also as a high fall risk patient I needed a nurse or tech with me to help me in the restroom at all times. however I had one guy tech/nurse who did not help me at all when I went to the bathroom. he closed the door completely and when I tripped and dropped all my personal care items on the floor he did not open the door or offer to help me pick eveything up. I could have seriously fallen badly ! towards the end of my stay, they rushed me out of my room. they gave me less than 10 minutes to gather all of my overnight bags and clean myself a little. ( i hadnt bathed in 4 days). I understand you are nearing your shift and want to scratch me off your list, but patients should be a priority, and that was not the case here at the medical center truett building third floor.

BS&W is interested in profiting off of you, not providing healthcare
Avoid this ER. Request billing information up front. They understaff the ER but charge you like it’s a VIP service. And their grievance process is a compliance check item only, no one is interested in value based healthcare.

Where US Rep Eddie Bernice Johnson a Congresswoman was treated badly and died
I was taken to Baylor by the EMT I had respiratory issues. I was in the waiting room even thought EMT brought me in with paper work. I was sitting next to a young lady who was 7weeks pregnant having contractions and getting progressively worse in front of me….she had told me they had her waiting for a sonogram but prior to had seizure… I kept wondering why was she in the waiting room. I called for nurses to come to her aid mind you I can barely talk because I can’t breathe. The apathy was off the charts. The attitude of the nurses was all the patients were interrupting their day. I went twice to two different ER nurses to get the young woman some help and they were like whatever. I took off all the medical stuff they place on my body and threw it all n the trash and told them they would not be treating me … because of this is how you treat patients I want no part of this. I left. If you want to be respected and treated well DO NOT GO TO BAYLOR
